Guide to Photo File Organizer

Main

1.
step 1
Select source folder. This is the folder containing the photos you wish to handle. It will look for all jpg files in this directory.
2.
step 2
Include subfolders. Click whether you wish to include sub folders or not. If this is checked it will look in all the underlying folders of the source folder.
3.
step 3
Select destination folder. This is the folder where you wish to copy/move your photos.
4.
step 4
Make year and month folders. Click whether you wish to automatically make sub folders or not. If this is checked it will make a folder for each year, and then a folder for each month in the year folder.
5.
step 5
Mode. Choose if you want to Test, Copy or Move. If Test is chosen it will scan the files and tell you what the result will be. This mode does nothing to your files at all and is completely safe to use. It may be helpful so run this before Copy/Test so you don't copy/move files you don't want to.
6.
step 6
Start button. Click start and wait for the magic to happen. This may take some time depending on the amount of files in your source folder.

Settings

Exclude photos in "Program Files" directory
It is recommended not to leave this option checked. Moving images from this directory may harm your system.

Use file date when the photo has no EXIF info
Some image files do not have EXIF info. This is typically an image not taken by a camerea, or a modified camera image. If you want to include this images aswell, click this option and the program will use the file date on these files.

Select image type
You can choose JPG or RAW image type. JPG is the most common format, but if you have an advanced Single Lens Reflex camera RAW format could be what you want. When selecting RAW you can also select camera type.

Language
Select language by selecting it in the dropdows. The language will change next time you start the program

Exclude cameras
It is possible to exclude cameras by clicking at them in the first list. This will move it to the exclude list. If you want to include a camera again, just click on in in the excluded camera list. You need to fill the first list by searching the disc for camera types, if you want to exclude any.

Save/Reset settings
Save settings saves all settings on the settings pane. Reset settings resets the settings, but does not save anything
